New Carpeting for Third Floor

Carpet squares arrive upstairs ready for installation.

Workers lay carpet squares on the third floor in preparation for
the move in mid-October.

The wooden box comes down and stairs go up!

Just before the unveiling of the staircase, construction workers
put on the finishing touches underneath the plastic sheeting.

First look at the new stairs to the third floor. These will not be open
until the move takes place in mid October.

catalog computers on the Main Level.

Recycling Lights

Anyone visiting the Lower Level of the Library for the next month will note rows of lights missing and strings of temporary lanterns in their place. We're borrowing about 100 fluorescent fixtures for the Upper Level instead of buying all new fixtures. Since the renovated Lower Level will use fewer of these fixtures, this trade helps maximize our re-use and minimize our new purchase of light fixtures. Pat T.
